Superior to COD? Sure. Superior to BF2? Thats what I'm curious about.

I've experienced far more hacking in PB games, than I did on VAC, and have often been kicked for silly reasons. Its also been quite a barrier for playing with friends, given its tendency to repeatedly kick them.

Seriously, bring on VAC.

I want one of these for 360 use (Like hell am I forsaking mouse & Keyboard for PC) but £50 for a wired 360 controller? Thats obscene.

Seems fake to me anyway, as far as I was aware of, games don't come out on wednesdays, as far as I'm aware of, games come out on thursdays in mainland Europe, and Friday in the UK.

Though I played FO3 100+, aswell as Broken Steel, I never really did enjoy it much. To me the world felt boring, and too serious.

FNV however, is completely different, I'm absolutely addicted to it, and I love it. I'm not sure if its because I picked up the PC version this time around, so I've modded the hell out of it, or if its down to the improved combat, by implementing true iron sights, a larger variety of small arms (I.e, I'm not just using the Chinese A...

The game would be released in the busiest week of my life this year >.< Still can't wait for it to suck away all my (not supposed to be)free time. Been a fan of Civ since Civ 3, so I can't wait til friday when it comes out over here.

And then theres games like Okami, where it takes about a year to shift that many copies. The gaming industry leaves me in despair.

I used to think so, but these days, I don't think theres much difference between the two. I think Gamestation used to be cheaper, but these days the prices are mostly the same.

That said, the staff in gamestation seem to be more gamers, and more educated about games, and laid-back, whilst GAME seems to be full of these corporate drones salesmen. So about the atmosphere, yeah, you have a point. Plus the colour scheme is garish.

TBH, I don't use either in ...

I think it should be in Glasgow or London. London has more recognisable landmarks, but few other places in the UK can match Glasgows reputation for being rough. Plus Glasgow isn't too far from rockstar north, and it'd be good for them to bring the series home.

Civ V? Come on... if you're going to forget about the PC at least COMPLETELY forget about the PC...

Most PC games these days have controller support, infact a lot have specific support for 360 controllers, and theres a lot of other types of controllers on the market, more than consoles for that matter.

Sure you got the elitists, as PCs you pay however much you want for the platform, in essence, which means the rich, spoilt kids have something to brag about, where as with consoles its equality. That isn't the entire community. It has creative and constructive individuals wh...

Well, I certainly prefer the Battlefield series over CoD, though the bad company games are so much more like CoD compared to their predecessors. Where are the huge sprawling urban maps like Strike at Karkand? BC2 takes place in towns and villages, really, and the maps sometimes feel small in comparison to BC2. Granted the greater customisation borrowed from COD adds depth, but sometimes more simplified things are balanced and promote class team-based play more, than being a jack of all trades...

The Ubisoft conference was a series of WTF moments for me, from the whole playing Child of Eden for 5 minutes, before telling us what the game actually is, then not explaining it at all, the host never having a clue whats going on, the guys running around with guns, french people talking, announcing a vitality sensor clone and then finally... people dancing to Michael Jackson, whilst just a title screen displays at the back. I could only describe the whole thing as hilariously bad.

I'd say the list is mostly spot on, despite not playing over half these games. Its not as if his personal score varies that wildly from the metacritic average, except, maybe for Alan Wake.

Though, the list is kinda boring, you'd expect at least one game there is a little unheard of, of controversial, unless you include the honourable mentions...

As for the pics used, who cares? Maybe if they completely got the game wrong it be worth squabbling about, ...

I loved the original two Suikodens, I never get why the original was rated so mediocre when it contained so many awesome gameplay features, such as the 108 stars of destiny, the castle, the 6 man party only to be topped off with a great, if tragic story. Its also a shame that Suikoden Tierkreis, the only one in recent years, took so many steps back to make it just a generic JRPG. Hopefully there'll be a Suikoden 6 soon, though it'd probably end up being for PS3, which I don't have...

Even with dedicated servers, I'm not sure if my trust in the COD series can even be regained. MW2 PC was a severe kick in the balls for PC gamers (and for the UK). I doubt they'll lower the price point to the norm either.

Not to mention that I never liked the treyarch games much, even if MW2 looked way too OTT for me (from observation, I'm one of the few guys who stuck true to the boycott, it seems).

I'm also weary about what they would pull with DRM,though activisio...

Timesplitters 2 and 3 were some of my best multiplayer experiences ever. The death of co-op is lamentable, not just with my mates, but at my university's gaming society, it's really suffering due to the lack of good 4 player local games, especially on the 360.

Sure online gaming is good for some games, especially larger team-orientated ones, but wheres the small frantic, and most importantly fun, FPS games like timesplitters gone?

Heres hoping TS4 does get to see the...

I doubt these children are playing violent games without their parents knowing. Surely those young enough to be an issue here can't actually buy these games themselves, the parents are probably buying them. If they ignore the big 18 labels, as are on quite a lot of these graphic shooters, it's their fault.

Besides, does it really take that much time out of peoples' busy schedules to open a damn door and see what a kid is up to?

I think its console culture, being a mix of a PC and Console gamer, I do find myself buying much more console games, yet I play on my PC more. Why? Console games seem to generate so much hype, and aspire to be so much, but after 40 hours or so, theres nothing left, and there feels like no reason to come back.

On the PC however, you can see old games being played for ages. I still play Battlefield 2 occasionally, which is about 4-5 years old now. It still has a huge community.
